Environmental Policy

The Joerger Group conducts, gathers and packages actionable, economic-based research and analysis to aid decision makers in conserving land and water resources. Strategic alliances are pursued which may include collaboration with other organizations, outreach to legislators and advocacy in a public forum. This activity is highly specialized and differs from the routine activities of most land trusts. The Joerger Group provides expertise on an as needed basis so you can focus on day-to-day operations. Some of Dr. Joerger’s experience includes:

    • Serving on two gubernatorial environmental transition teams
    • Leadership in a successful $250 million environmental ballot initiative which passed by a 4 to 1 margin

    • Advocating for a 32 mile recreational trail through public and private land.

    • Governing Board Member of the Southwest Florida Water Management District and Chair of the Surplus Lands Committee
